The Board of Commissioners is the governing Board of the New York State Bridge Authority. The Board consists of seven members appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the NYS Senate. They serve five-year terms and receive no compensation. |

James P. Sproat; Chairman Mr. Sproat has served as a Commissioner of the New York State Bridge Authority since June of 1999. A resident of Dutchess County, he has a long history of community service and civic involvement. Mr. Sproat is a licensed real estate broker specializing in commercial real estate and is a certified CCIM. James Sproat was elected Chairman of the Board of Commissioners in July 2004. |

 Roderick O. Dressel; Vice Chairman
Mr. Dressel has served as a Commissioner of the New York State Bridge Authority since June of 1997. A resident of Ulster County, Mr. Dressel has more than 30 years of experience in financial matters, fiscal planning and is active in the Hudson Valley Agricultural industry. Roderick Dressel was elected Vice-Chairman of the Board of Commissioners in July 2004. |

Robert P. Carter Mr. Carter has served as a Commissioner of the New York State Bridge Authority since 2006. A resident of Dutchess County, he has actively participated in a number of professional, community and civic organizations for more than 40 years. Robert Carter owns an independent insurance agency, is a veteran of the US Army and graduate of Fordham University. |

Richard A. Gerentine
Mr. Gerentine has served as a Commissioner of the New York State Bridge Authority since 2006. A resident of Ulster County, he has a distinguished career in private business and community involvement in communities on both sides of the Hudson River. Mr. Gerentine has served as Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature and has expertise in public finance. Richard Gerentine received a degree in Business Administration from Marist College. |

Thomas J. Madison Jr.
Tom Madison has served on the Board of Commissioners of the New York State Bridge Authority since 2006, bringing a wealth of transportation and executive management experience. Madison is currently President of Spectra Subsurface Imaging and Vice-President of Spectra Environmental Group. He previously served as Commissioner of the New York State Department of Transportation, Deputy Secretary to the Governor for Transportation, Chairman of the New York State Public Transportation Safety Board and MTA Capital Program Review Board, and as a Member of the Peace Bridge Authority and Governor's Traffic Safety Committee. Madison holds a degree from the State University of New York at Geneseo. |

Walter A. Paradies
Mr. Paradies has served as a Commissioner of the New York State Bridge Authority since 2004. A resident of Ulster County, he is active in many civic organizations and has served as a member of both a planning board and a school board. Walter Paradies holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and has worked with both the NYS Thruway Authority and NYS Department of Transportation. |

David A. Teator, Jr. Mr. Teator, Jr. has served as a Commissioner of the New York State Bridge Authority since March of 2002. He resides in Columbia County where he is active in a number of recreation and community organizations. David Teator graduated Cum Laude from Marist College with a degree in Communication Arts and is a Supervisor of Audio-Visual Training & Production. |
